Cancellation Policy
1 All cancellations must be made by e-mail. In conformity with business practices within the Norwegian travel industry. Haukeli Husky is obliged to charge cancellation fees to the client as follows:
For individual reservations activities (less than 10 persons):
- Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to your day of arrival: Cancellation fee is 50% of the total amount.
- Less than 7 days prior to your day of arrival: No refund.
For group reservations activities (10 persons or more):
- Cancellations made 21 days or less prior to your day of arrival: Cancellation fee is 50% of the total amount.
- Less than 14 days prior to your day of arrival: No refund.
For accomodation reservations:
- Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to your day of arrival: Cancellation fee is 50% of the total amount.
- Less than 7 days prior to your day of arrival: No refund.
2 Should your reservation end up with fewer participants than agreed, the same cancellation policy as above will apply.
3 If you are not there at the time of your booking, the guides are allowed to start the tour without the missing participant (in order to not delay the tour for the rest of the participants). This will be considered a “No Show” and no refund will be provided.
Insurance
- Haukeli Husky strongly recommends to all its clients to purchase travel insurance from a reputable provider in their country of origin, prior to their journey to Norway. It is important for all travellers to protect themselves in case of unforseen problems or additional costs.
Other conditions
- The customer is personally responsible for evaluating his/her physical and/or mental condition in relation to the contents of the activity. Consult us prior booking if you are unsure.
- Haukeli Husky reserves the right to deny any customer's participation in the activities, if Haukeli Husky Tours considers it to be necessary for the safe and/or appropriate execution of the activity.
- Should the customer not wish to (or cannot) participate in parts of the activity, no refund is granted.
- If you show up at the kennel visibly intoxicated by alcohol or other substance, you will be expelled, without refund of the money.
Cancellation by Haukeli Husky
- Haukeli Husky reserves the right to cancel or change any activity if Haukeli Husky considers it necessary. Extreme weather conditions or other events beyond our control might cause that we cancel a tour on short notice. In case of cancellation by Haukeli Huky, payments will be fully refunded.
Importaint information
- Be sure to familiarize yourself with Haukeli Husky's cancellation policy before booking.
- Make sure you include your full name and phone number in your reservation so we can reach you if needed.
- We recommend showing up 10-15 minutes ahead of time, as instructions will be given at the specified time.
- Should you be delayed for the trip, be sure to call us as soon as possible. If we do not hear from you, the trip will start without you, as soon as the other guests are ready to leave.
- Follow the instructions given by the guide carefully. This will be critical for your enjoyment of the trip, and your and the dogs' safety.
- All adults will be put together in pairs per sled, with one driving and one passenger. We will give you the opportunity to switch halfway
- We do not allow anyone to drive a sled without a passenger. If you are alone, or your group is odd, you will be set to share a sleigh with a guide, or a participant from another group.
- If you do not want to drive a sledge yourself, and do not have a family member or friend who can drive you, please let us know in advance so you can ride with a guide.
- You are responsible for bringing warm winter clothes for the trip, including warm mittens / gloves and a hat. Ski goggles can be nice to wear if it snows a lot. You can borrow jacets/dresse and warm shoes by us.
- Our dogs are all friendly and social, no matter we ask you to keep an eye on your children, so that they do NOT run around the dogs. Before the trip, the dogs will be very giddy and full of adrenaline, so we usually recommend saving the cuddle after the trip.
